Bella Hadid Proves This Is the Fashion Crowd’s Favorite Ballet Flat

It didn’t take Bella Hadid long to step into Miu Miu’s cult satin ballet pumps. After making their debut for fall 2022, paired with sporty separates on the runway, the silky flats have become a staple at fashion parties and on the front row. 

On Instagram, the super styled her Miu Miu pumps with thick lilac socks. Bella was wearing a cropped patterned top, a velvet and a sage green cardigan—think ’80s-dancer-meets-Y2K—secured with a single button at the top. A dusting of ice-blue eye shadow and a shimmery pink lip added to the nostalgic effect. 

Beauty editor Tish Weinstock, who swerved heels in favor of snow-white ballet pumps like Bella’s for her wedding day, can attest to the comfort these fancy flats offer. “I suddenly had visions of tripping in heels,” she told Vogue before walking down the aisle. “I feel much safer in them.” Vogue’s senior fashion projects editor, Julia Hobbs, is another die-hard fan: “I’ve been living in Miu Miu’s white satin ballet slipper because they are—I promise you—far more practical than they sound.” Take it from Bella, #Balletcore is still en pointe in 2023.
