The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey picture a silly crossover between the show and Game of Thrones — where both also appeared in.
Warning: Spoilers for The Last Of Us episode 2 ahead!Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey – who portray Joel and Ellie, respectively – propose a hilarious The Last of Us and Game of Thrones crossover. Both actors first appeared in HBO’s Game of Thrones before moving on to The Last of Us – Pascal plays the driven Oberyn Martell, and Ramsey depicts the headstrong Lyanna Mormont. Now, the actors appear in HBO’s most recent critically acclaimed series, The Last of Us, where their characters must face a journey through an apocalyptic United States filled with deadly infected individuals.
HBO Max has released a new video where Pascal and Ramsey showcase their chemistry by answering fan questions, and the duo went off the rails with a silly Game of Thrones and The Last of Us crossover idea.
The Last of Us actors had to answer, “What item from the Game of Thrones world would you bring to The Last of Us.” The duo named which items, such as Oberyn’s robe and Lyanna’s armor. The only problem is their choices were rather impractical, and the conversation quickly turned into a burst of laughter from the duo. Check out the exchange below:
PASCAL: I really liked my robe… well, because it looked f-cking awesome.
RAMSEY: Right. I think that would be good in the apocalypse. So you have room–
PASCAL: –swish everywhere, swish my way through it… flash! What about you?
RAMSEY: I liked my armor from season 8. It’d be heavy though.
PASCAL: I could be swishing around, and you’d be, like, protecting me, basically.
Joel & Ellie’s Dynamic In The Last Of Us Couldn’t Be More Different
Pascal and Ramsey showed their incredible chemistry in the video, with their friendly back-and-forth being hilarious and different from the dynamic their characters have on HBO’s The Last of Us. Joel and Ellie are stuck together for the rest of the season, with the pair begrudgingly only having one another in their journey ahead. Joel has not totally warmed up to Ellie yet, which can be explained by the trauma the character suffered from his daughter Sarah’s death, which is likely why he could not tell Tess what she wanted to hear in episode 2.
Joel and Ellie have a long journey to meet the Fireflies’ scientists and discover where Joel’s brother, Tommy, is. Throughout the season, it is expected that Joel will start to get attached to the young girl, with the character having slightly changed his demeanor towards her in episode 2, as a couple of moments in the episode showed Pascal’s hardened survivor lost in thought as he looked at Ellie. The differences between Ellie and Sarah should become clearer for Joel as the season goes on, with the character understanding that the young girl can take care of herself in the apocalypse and is a lot like him. The duo’s found family aspect should become heavier now that they are alone following Tess’ death.
What To Expect From The Last Of Us Episode 3
The Last of Us episode 3 has been hailed by several critics as not only a great episode, but the very best hour The Last of Us season 1 offers. That is some lofty praise, especially considering some of the more groundbreaking events that happen in later sections of the game and should be part of the final stretch of season 1’s episodes. The Last of Us episode 3 introduces audiences to the survivalist duo, Bill and Frank, the latter of which will have an expanded role than he did in the original game. Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett portray Bill and Frank, respectively. More importantly, The Last of Us episode 3 will see how the duo factors into Joel and Ellie’s journey.
